Shochu

What is shochu? It is a distilled liquor from Japan with an average abv between 25%-43%. The most important ingredient is koji, and the registered ingredients used in the main mash before distillation. Some popular ingredients include: sweet potato, barley, sugarcane, rice and Thai rice (awamori). Enjoy on the rocks, in a cocktail, or with hot water in the winter time!
